Help us change the system that enables suffering

Across Ontario and beyond, countless wild animals remain trapped in roadside zoos and private collections, suffering in captivity for entertainment and profit. Bears, lions, monkeys and other wild animals continue to endure life within a system that normalizes their exploitation. Marineland was unfortunately just one of many.

For decades, weak regulations and little oversight have allowed these facilities to operate unchecked. With no consistent licensing or enforcement, substandard operations continue to put animals at risk.

You can change this.

World Animal Protection is working to transform the broken systems that fuel animal suffering — so exploitation ends everywhere it hides. That means ending the treatment of wild animals as commodities, raising animal protection as a priority issue and changing mindsets so wild animals are recognized as sentient beings with the right to live free from harm.

When enough of us demand change, governments and industries must act.

Add your name to our growing community today to help us build the people power needed to make this the last generation of wild animals exploited for profit.
