The Power of Animals: Join us for an inspiring evening
News
On September 23, World Animal Protection is proud to sponsor The Walrus Talks: The Power of Animals, a thought-provoking evening dedicated to exploring how the way we treat animals shapes the future of our planet.
Hosted at the Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto and livestreamed for all to join, this special event will feature seven expert speakers from across science, politics, Indigenous health, veterinary medicine and advocacy. In just seven minutes each, they’ll share their insights on how improving animal welfare benefits animals, people and the environment.
From reducing the risk of antimicrobial resistance through better farm animal treatment, to creating economic opportunities in sustainable agriculture, to protecting ecosystems and habitats – animal welfare is at the heart of a healthier, more compassionate world.
