Dog is brought to our mobile clinic in Pestera, Romania

Update: Vet clinic opens for dogs in Romania

News

Our work with dogs in Romania continues as we sponsor a mobile vet clinic run by our local partners, Save The Dogs

The clinic is helping dogs in rural communities and on the outskirts of cities in Constanta, where many people cannot afford vet care for their animals.

Services include vaccinations and medical treatment for dogs which are injured or ill. The clinic also provides a neutering service, which aims to help curb the numbers of new strays on the street. Each of the dogs treated at the clinic is then micro-chipped, enabling them to be reunited with their owners if separated.

As well as veterinary treatment, the clinic educates dog owners and the local public on responsible dog ownership, providing specific veterinary advice, educational materials and the basic pet equipment needed for good dog handling and care.

The clinic is working in collaboration with local authorities, local vets and Save The Dogs shelters and clinics.
