We traveled to Walton, Ontario to meet Jeff Linton and see his pig farm. Jeff is against all forms of industrial farming practices and raises pigs in a high welfare environment. Right away you can see the difference.
Farming doesn’t have to be cruel. Which is why we’re working with governments, farmers and retailers around the world to improve the welfare of pigs and other animals that suffer in factory farm systems.
Our vision for farming is one where we move away from intensive farming practices that harm animals, and focus instead on high welfare and sustainable farming practices that provide animals with enrichment, space, and the ability to exhibit their natural behaviours.
High welfare farming is better for animals, people and the environment. Intensive agriculture, like many human activities, requires resources such as land, fuel and water. And when we look at the massive scale of intensive animal agriculture, the impacts become significant and unsustainable; fueling climate change, polluting landscapes and waterways, and wastefully using precious land resources.
Double your impact to give farm animals and humans a better future for Giving Tuesday
You can give pigs and other farm animals a better life by donating to our Giving Tuesday campaign. Help us put a stop to cruel intensive farming practices on factory farms. Give today and your gift will be matched for twice the impact!
