Thank you for encouraging your MP to attend our virtual parliamentary reception on preventing future pandemics. We know that when people understand the root causes of pandemics, they are more likely to support a ‘One Health, One Welfare’ approach to curbing the commercial wildlife trade. MPs are key to moving the Canadian government to take action.

What else you can do

If you haven’t already done so, please sign our House of Commons e-petition calling upon the federal government to commit to the end of the international and domestic trade in wild animals and products made from them.

This petition is so important as it will be formally presented in the House of Commons in April and the government is required to respond. All MPs and government see is how popular the petition is and this gives them a sense of how the issue should be prioritized.
